Idle Gold: Mine Old School RS gold with your GPU

Idle Gold (idle.gold) is a Windows/Linux application that allows you to mine cryptocurrency with your GPU and withdraw it directly as Old School RuneScape gold with no intermediate steps.

You can make 2-15M gp/day while away from your computer, depending on the power of your GPU. Estimated rates for your GPU can be found on our website. An idle GPU is a wasted GPU when you could be mining OSRS gold.



You can request a payout at any time by clicking "Get payout" in the app and submitting your OSRS character name. A support chat window opens in your browser to arrange an in-game trade location, world, and time. We will usually respond within a few minutes, but we guarantee a response within 24 hours. Your balance is not deducted until you receive your payout.

We've updated the Idle Gold app to 1.4.0, with new features like auto-start when idle and the ability to add custom miner flags (currently for PhoenixMiner).

If you're nervous about downloading our app but still want to try, no worries. The app is just an easy way for you to get started mining with a balance/profit graph, but if you're already familiar with mining, you can ignore the app and use your favorite ethash miner with our pool. Example:

Im sure there is some sort of profit margin here, but I don't understand it. I am keen on trying it since I like how it sounds, but is current mining not as/more efficient than this?

Nah, will not recommend it, GPU works for 95-100%, right now tested for 1080 ti 11gb for 24m per month.. lol...

 

they are making a decent % of what ur mining for them, u basically mine ethereum and they pay u a % of what u mine in rsgp.

 

There's a clear problem with your GPU or how you're mining, you should be making at least 5/6 times that, minimum. Message our support on the Discord if you want help optimising. Our users with those cards are making weekly 20m+ withdrawals.

 

That's the miner we use. A mining software can't exist if it doesn't mine.

I knew someone would mention that NiceHash post.

We highly recommend not to use NiceHash. The company was founded by a criminal (Matjaž Škorjanc was jailed for 4 years for creating malware), and continues to engage in criminal behavior (they "lost" $64M of their users' Bitcoin in 2017 and then repaid about half of it after a lawsuit).

A couple days after they released their own competing miner QuickHash, they launched a smear campaign against the world's most popular ethash miner, PhoenixMiner, to scare people into using their miner instead (which gives them more profit). When called out for their baseless claims, the author of the NiceHash went on a childish rant on PhoenixMiner's BitcoinTalk thread which is an entertaining read if anyone's interested. While all of this was happening, the global PhoenixMiner hash rate (its number of users) was not affected, as its users rolled their eyes at NiceHash's mess. Their smear campaign caused more damage to NiceHash themselves.

However, if NiceHash has you still convinced not to use PhoenixMiner, I would recommend ethminer which is open source but with slightly lower hashrates across all Nvidia/AMD GPUs. You can mine with Idle Gold to get direct Old School RS gold payouts by reading the "Just give me the pool info" section of the Idle Gold FAQ.
