    Possible HIV vaccine?

Let's just hope this works. It would do wonders for all the non-african (I don't want to sound racist) people. If you tried to use this in South Africa, the country would go broke in Vaccine costs, as there is so many HIVs and AIDs in SA.

    Possible HIV vaccine?

Even if it does work it will take almost decades before it has a real effect.

    Possible HIV vaccine?

This vaccine idea is stupid as hell and simply for profit purposes. If the number of sick people was like 20-30%, then damn yeah that's too many people to treat and a vaccine would stop that disease from spreading.Think about this, less than 0.5% of people in the world have HIV, so why the fuck would you work on a vaccine instead of an actual cure for the disease? The reason is that the clientele for vaccines is much much larger than the clientele for cures. You can administer vaccines to any person who doesn't have the disease, which would make you more money than just curing the people who have the disease.

Dude get the fuck out with your grammar bullshit, no one cares. God damn, so many nubs these days trying to be smart on the internet.

What? Vaccines prevent diseases, not cure them. You would only give a vaccine to people who don't have HIV/AIDS, so in Africa since a large amount of the population has HIV, that means there would be less people to give the vaccine to. But in North America there is less people that have HIV, so there are more people to give the vaccine to.

    Possible HIV vaccine?

*Trojan and Durex cross their fingers*

You have to understand the main reason why people use condoms is to prevent the major disease of HIV/AIDS. If it is successful that most definitely means a big hit to the condom industry, mainly due to peoples ignorance. This is a good thing though, we are looking into the future and are attempting to reduce the upcoming amount of cases with HIV. If you think about it, it will reduce the outbreak of the disease in the more populated areas (which is superb) because we could be vaccinated. There will be a problem with 3rd world countries where the disease is pertinent though...

If it's successful it would be amazing, a '50/50' chance as quoted is pretty high. But as said previously, it might be hard for people in poverty who really need it to be able to access it due to the costs involved.
