I definitely believe that weed should be legalized. I mean, if they are going to keep tobacco legal, then why not legalize weed?

As for cocaine, crack-cocaine, meth, pcp, heroin, etc. Keep those illegal, as those actually harm you. Keeping weed illegal is like saying it is just as bad as the drugs i listed in the beginning of this sentence.

Also, weed helps stop the spread of cancer, and treats many illnesses. I see no reason to not legalize it, and put an age limit on it?

actually i think weed shouldnt be legalized, its funner to do it when its illegal, but then again if you get caught they skin your ass inside out, i think it should be legalized, (shrooms too, those are good =] ) but i think the heavier drugs like cocaine and heroin or meth, should be controlled.

I personally think certain drugs should be legalized, ESPECIALLY marijuana. Marijuana has never killed anyone. You can look anywhere you want, you'll never find a single record of marijuana killing someone, other then emphysema from rolling joints. Pure marijuana can not, and will not kill you. It also has the complete opposite effect on you psychologically as alcohol. Alcohol makes more people then not angry, sad, depressed, etc. Marijuana makes you happy, mellow, and hungry.

I personally don't smoke weed, but I think if someone wants to, it should be completely legal.

That isn't why. They will still get their prescription drug money, as prescription drugs are still needed to treat illnesses, injuries, or whatever.

Im indifferent. I use drugs from time to time, yes- however i know that legalization of such substances could result with a higher negative impact drowning out any positive outcome. Why do i simply not care? Because i think that if drugs were legalized, the chaos and havoc it might ignite would work as a sort of karma to whoever decided it be a good idea in the first place.
I can obtain drugs easily, and maybe its for the best that it isn't TOO easy to come across. Addictions would rise in number drastically, if one could simply walk their dog to the convenience store and buy a gram of cocaine.

I've never said alcohol is worst than drugs such as crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, etc., but alcohol is known as the "gateway drug".

Im sorry but im not sure if that is said about alcohol but i know that marijuana is a THE gateway drug for users and for dealers especially young teenagers and kids thats why drugs are illegal becuase if adults get theyre hands on drugs freely then the supply for teens will increase becuase they want to do what adults do and if seniors are doing drugs freely then freshmen and maybe middle schoolers will want to do it to fit in even though this is all ready a large problem it will be become extremely larger.

Try using periods, and wouldn't caffeine be a gateway drug too?

logik92 is right. Needless to say, the medical companies even made a synthethic cannabinol (THC) named Marinol.
So, I think that they want their patients as far away from medical* marijuana as possible.

*I think medical is a stupid term, it's the same as any other type of pot.

Caffeine isn't a gateway drug, but way more harmful to you than marijuana. There has been, suprisingly, a lot of deaths from caffeine, yet not any from marijuana.

What is a gateway drug then? Caffeine is certainly something most people use before harder drugs.

Caffeine could be considered a gateway drug, as some people do get addicted to the small rush you get from it.

But Caffeine doesn't exactly make people run around and want to try cocaine. Although, if it does, then it could be considered a gateway drug.

I just realized most people call it a gateway drug because they can usually get other drugs from the same dealers they get weed. Nvm, sorry.

Yes, weed is a gateway drug. However, I don't see why legal weed would be a gateway drug. The reason it's a gateway drug simply because it's illegal. If someone smokes weed they are very likely to have the necessary connections to get harder drugs, as well as knowing people who do these harder drugs, because they have to deal with criminals to aquire the weed. If they could get it at the local liquor store, they wouldn't have to sneak around and do business with dealers.

And then you'd miss the connections. You couldn't just ask the clerk in a store "hey, you know anyone who sells cocaine?". With someone who sells weed you can, and he'll gladly point you in the right(?) direction.

That's not why they call it a gateway drug... They think that weed leads you on to harder drugs, which is not true.

Wtf? Are you implying that weed makes you want to try cocaine? I'm sorry but you are fucking stupid.
