fagging vista's changed my password on the only administrator account, i dont have a password recovery disk, windows install disk nor does the administrator show up in safe mode.



please help.

 

Get this program called erd commander. It can change your password. You can use another computer and burn it onto a cd.

Let me know if it works.

Well i was looking into google and thats the only thing that should work as you have neither password reset disk nor another admin account. You'll have to reinstall the operating system or reformat your computer

 

Try login as Administrator account(no an admin account), the Adminstrator(the root). By default it has no password

Lol, this happened to my sister she's stuck with a vegetable pc where she can't install anything or delete anything.

 

Came here to say that. Burn the .iso to a cd and boot from it.

 

Wow people here kinda failed.

This should work.

Right click, new shortcut make it cmd.exe

Then open it up.

Now Type this

net user /add (name here)

hit enter

It should say complete and were not done yet

After its added type

net localgroup administrators (put the name of the user here)

hit enter

Sucess the new account is an admin with no password (ofcourse you have ot set it)

 

or, as twintip said, make the shortcut, and instead type

net user adminstrator /active:yes

then type:

net user administrator (desired password)

 

The net user shit is normally for admin accounts only. I've never been on a PC that its worked on.....

 

Yep, thats the best way to get admin passwords (experienced with school )
