well sooooorrry, im sure you do that for your parents -.- i thought every parent in the whole entire universe got their kid a present on their birthday. I guess you could say it's... tradition? And anyway parents arent meant to have as much as a social life - thats why they got married and had kids.
I rest my case, probably along with every other 18- year old (excluding you (if you are under 18)) that they all want/expect/get presents for their birthday.
