[Guide] How to Install new RAM To your laptop. [Guide]

Guide on How to Install New/Old RAM (Random Access Memory) To your Laptop Notebook Computer.

Step One​

Unplug ALL Cords, USB's and everything else from your laptop.

Step Two​

Remove Battery and Remove RAM Cover. *Look for a little sign on the laptop cover that looks like a RAM chip*

Once you remove the cover it should look like this. (*NOTE* All laptops are different and therefore will have different ways of entry to the RAM)

Step Three​

Remove the RAM chips CAREFULLY! If you damage the RAM chips you may need to buy new ones. Remember to earth yourself by touched a piece of metal before putting your hands inside the laptop.

There should be two clips on the sides of each RAM chip that undo them.

Step Four​

Once you remove the RAM it should look like this.

Now to place the RAM back in.

When doing this BE CAREFUL. To place the ram back in there should be a 'cut' in the gold lines that the RAM has. Look on the board from where you removed it to see which way to place it back in. Push it in then press it down.

Step Five, Final Step​

After you have placed the RAM in correctly it should look like this.

Once everything is in, Put the cover for the RAM back on, Place your battery back in and start up the computer as normal. The computer will know that you changed the RAM and adjust to it. This will most likely make your computer run faster.

NOTE:If the computer starts up but is just a black screen, Its not posting. There must be something wrong with one of the two RAM sticks. You will need to do this process again but only put in 1 RAM stick. If that one works, Then it's obviously the other one and will need to be replaced.
