How to get my first customer?

Most people looking for a service always depend on vouches / some sort of other reputation to decide who to use. While I understand that it is logical to trust someone with higher reputation than someone you don't know at all and have no indication of whether or not they are scamming, this makes it significantly harder for people who are still starting out to earn their first customer / first vouch.

For reference, my posting is here. Is it missing something? Is there a way to make it better?

Is there some other way I can gain my first customer?

Well, the question is...

Would you trust a newcomer with a service on YOUR account, which you might've used hundreds of hours on?

If you ask yourself that question, that the shoes your clients are in.
You can offer free work etc, CHEAP prices to build up a reputation and later on increase the prices of your products.

 

I'm afraid if you can't be competitive on reputability, you'll just need to be price competitive. i.e. you'll need to provide cheap services at first in order to attract demand. I'd suggest joining a team (working for someone) if you're looking for an easier route to get a stream of income, although it would stunt your future potential compared to organically growing your personal business as you wouldn't be able to collect vouches so you're back at where you started if you decided to not work for others anymore. the minigame section is focused upon so many things not just barbarian assault and since ur thread is new (5) days old, people/customers hardly notice you, your thread is well structured but there are some few notes i can give that might help you:

Prices are:

• OSRS 3.2M per round for less than 10 rounds.
  
• OSRS 3M per round for less than or equal to 20 rounds.
• OSRS 2.7M per round for more than 20 rounds

in here you specified prices about rounds, people who do not play barbarian assault will not know what you're talking about, i have done over 500 Torso's Myself with 100GC in my accounts, and when i first read that i was confused at first to be honest. because people do not purchase set of rounds considering that points may vary per game.


put the main prices on top and increase their size/change font, after that you will just need to bump every 4 hours and keep being consistent, i also suggest not looking for advice, not even mine. just the only good advice i can give here is to be consistent with bumping your thread every 4hours you will get a customer when the time is right and as @Cherub mentioned, introduce low prices!
