Well, I was just curious as to who has the iPhone firstly. Secondly, I wanted to know who was having trouble with the battery life being so short. My battery will last about 2 hours if I'm on facebook, the internet, or watching youtube videos. I know several people with a Blackberry and they have similar apps, but don't experience this problem.

My question is, how can such an advanced phone have such a poor battery life? If Apple was to create a stronger battery it would perfect the phone. For such an advanced and expensive product, I would expect and advanced battery.

Mine used to be fine until recently but now it's pretty ridiculous.. I can barely make it through the day anymore without it dying on me.

My iphone 3Gs pretty much always lasts a whole day even with playing games and surfing the web and youtube a fair bit.

What I do is keep my brightness when don't need it completely low. Gives a couple more hours. How high do you keep your battery?

He's not saying it's an actual problem i do not think, he's complaining about the battery life.

I'm sure, also, if you got the 3GS (Speed), it would have a more improved battery life.

it all depends on a number of things, the things you mentioned under the right circumstances (such as if you're doing all this via a 3G connection) would be the cause, since it'd have to keep the 3G connection alive and transferring non-stop which chews battery life quickly. It's not hard to replace the battery for a better one though, google it. My 2G iphone will run about 24 hours without charging it, using on-off-again internet and whatnot via WiFi

    Do that.
Thats what I do I keep the brightness at 43%
Also whenever i'm not around my laptop or computer I don't bother getting on the internet unless I need too.

But If I don't go on the internet/watch movies/play games the life of my battery can last threw two days.
I really only Text and Call my iPhone when i'm not indoors.

I laughed, You ask why it has so short battery life when your "on the internet, watching videos"

Of course there is going to be low battery life, Change your brightness to Lowest, When your not using the phone turn of 3G internet capabilities and Data roaming. Make sure blutooth is off, location services off. Also turn autolock on after 1 minute. It saves battery life greately.

When you charge it only charge it to full capacity. Never charge it for about 10 minutes then plug it out its kinda pointless.

Also, under mail, contacts, etc on settings, Keep Fetch New Data on "Push". What that does is makes you manually get your mail, but if you pick one of the times, it will update your mail every so often that you set it to receive it, which lowers battery.

Let it run completely out of battery before you charge it next.
Also, on the Iphone were you meant to charge it for 24 hours or whatever before first use?
