    Explanation of the trade: A person who wants to swap gold approached me stating that they were looking to swap rs3 to 07 gold. This person (Jayson Milly#8588) wasn't happy with my vouches and thus, requested another middleman to conduct the trade.



    How they scammed:

    I had sent pms out to middleman on Sythe. An admin can look into this.

    Somehow the the FAKE Baod that added me on discord got a hold of a screenshot of the PM, that I had sent the real Baod (an admin/mod can look into this).

    How the hell could this have happened without collusion?

    Other relevant trade screenshots: GIF below, how did the FAKE Baod get a hold of this screenshot (with accurate time-stamps etc) that I had sent the real Baod?

    Is this all a misunderstanding and a consequence of good timing on the scammers behalf? I'm so confused..

    :eek: Sent the full group convo via pm, abit long to add everything here.

    I refused the MM in the end as i felt something was not quite right. ( After a full review, i may of miss read the 3rd party's discord Info as i was beeing rushed.

    Thankfully no one got scammed.

    This was a man in the middle scam attempt, yes. The Discord user has a history of this as well.

    It seems like the user was attempting to go after multiple users at once here too.

    There are a few things I need to discuss with other staff members, @Baod @swappy please remain patient for now.

    @Baod sent the picture of the Sythe PM from @swappy to a group chat that had another potential victim and the impostor in it, which could have easily led to that user being scammed. Staff have agreed that this merits a TWC for @Baod, which he can dispute here in 30 days.

    I've also DNT'd @swappy as they are ban evading Ardinas. Staff see deleted.
