Back Gum- Horrible pain. Anybody have an answer?

About an hour ago my back gum started swelling up, and 30 minutes ago the pain started. At this point, it is extremely swollen and horribly painful. Like, the most pain I have ever experienced. The vibrations from my typing are hurting my mouth. I can't close it. I looked in a mirror and there is one distinct bump in the middle of the swelling, but I'm not sure what it could be. Anybody have a similar experience or an answer?

I would suggest going to the dentist, tomorrow. If, it doesn't stop swelling and the dentist is closed. I would go to the emergency room.

Its really hard to tell whats wrong if you don't give us any background information first. Did you eat anything strange or unusual? Did you irritate it with something? etc. By the way, you may want to go to the doctors instead of asking an online runescape cheating community haha. But I'll try and help you out the best I can.

Go the emergency room if your dentist office isn't open, could be serious.

I knew I would get some answer ridiculing me for asking this crowd ;) but seriously you guys are pretty helpful sometimes. Ironically enough I went to the dentist yesterday for a checkup, and he said my teeth/gums were perfect. Today, my gum hurts like fuck. My theory is that when the dentist was using one of his drill-brushes, a piece of it could have been lodged in and stayed in my gum. I took 2 advil and some cough drops for the pain, and if it doesn't go down, yea, I'm gonna go to the dentist.

I really doubt a piece of his drill is lodged in your gum. Maybe it just got irritated the other day and is flaring up or something? I bet it will be fine in a day or two.

Yeah but, I was just trying to think of what else it could be. Not a piece of the drill per se, but maybe a bit of a bristle or tiny shard of plastic. Could even be wisdom teeth, but it came on fast and I'm 15 which is somewhat young for wisdom teeth. Well, I took Advil and the pain's gone, so I'll see how I am tomorrow...

Is there any chance it could be some sort of reaction to a dentist tool(it's possible), food, etc ?

It turned out to be an infected wisdom tooth that was growing in. Lots of pus. Kinda nasty. I'm getting it removed on Friday, I was glad to learn that I'm going to be fully unconscious for the operation. And I'm gonna be on Vicodin for a few days after :O

yeah I'm 15 which is like, unnaturally young for wisdom teeth. And I have three. My parents didn't get them until college...oh well, I hear Vicodin is an interesting experience.
