Which pure to make?

Well, I'm going to start on a new pure. I've made them before, so I know what I'm doing. I have had plenty of 99s and am in it for the long haul, so, what type of pure should I make?

So far, I'm considering a Zerker pure and a range tank. What do you all think?

I was thinking that, but I was wondering how well Zerkers fared in combat.

 

i got a starter we could share 40 att 44 str? make it a zerker with you?

 

I was also thinking about making a pure.. but I want to max this barrows pker out first

 

go with zerker. I've had a range tank before and its okay butn ot as good as a zerker. I have a zerker with 60 attack, 81 str, and 45 def. If you wanan buy pm me

I have a barrows pure too, but I dislike him. I ended up turning him into a skiller/main and tested out merchanting with him since I can't do anything with the money. Made like 2m in a couple days, not too bad for someone who doesn't know how to merch that well, eh?

Lol, I don't buy accounts either, but thanks for the information I may go with zerker. They sound harder to make since there's a lot of quests to do and you gotta do em in the right order.

 

Zerker ftw. Fairly easy to make and by far the most effective

 

I beg to differ. They seem to be the hardest.

 

Eh, they're the best investment when your talking pures though. Not really either, how hard are the quests? Not too hard They're not the fastest though, my bad on that ha.

 

I really want a challenge to make a pure. 1 def pures are fairly easy to make, range tanks take hardly any quests at all, and I already have a barrows pure and didn't like it.

 

Range Tanks aren't a pure.

In combat a good range tank will do better then a zerker. The only downfall is on a range tank it's not easy to find fights, especially when you are wearing high defence gear (which is what makes tanks succesful).

If you want to make a zerker pure you HAVE to get barrows gloves and be willing to die with defenders. These raise there accuracy and max a lot, which matters.

 

Again, I beg to differ, I consider Range tanks pure as they are pure range and def. A hybrid which is still pure. Anything that maximized power and minimizes combat is a pure in my book.

I'm quite experienced with RuneScape mate. Barrows gloves are the only reason I considered Zerkers difficult. I will have below 40 def after doing all the RFD quests and Trials.

 

In my mind a real pure is 1-20 defence.. they are what are accepted into the pure community.

In my mind a pure is an account that sacrifices defence for offence, and since Tanks heavily rely on defence I don't think you can consider them a pure.

I've pked alot on 1-20 defence pures and tanks.. as well as high levels, but I've never pked on a zerker. Looks like wild fun, so I think you should try that.

How are initiate pures in combat? Every time I've fought one on a 1 def, I've owned them.

 

Low level ones do bad, like a 60/75/20 init pure is just terrible since they are fighting people who have 15 strenght levels on them, or rangers who are already up to 99 range. On my level 74 ranger when I see a level 72-77 in initiate I automatically want to fight them since they just seem like free kills to me.

High level init pures don't do much better.. since 75/99/20 doesn't even max that much higher then 70/86/45 and they'd be around the same level. Plus the second account would rip apart the 20 defence.

The only way init pures are that great is if they get a lucky spec.

Then again, they can wear curropt armour, which although I've never used it I'm sure it would be very good (Since there str bonus would be highly raised and there defence bonus would be higher then rune pures) just too expensive to constantly use though.

If you go zerker then I'd suggest getting high attack.

My in real life friend is 97/92/45 and he loves it since he can combo tanks (even ones with 85+ defence) and since he has good gear his 92 strength still hits very good.
