I post some clear information and convo how Waverly Hills scammed me for my 2 accounts and he says post more of the convo. What is there more to post? Saying hi and hello? This is complete bullshit. How can't you see that is scamming when he clearly logs out after I give him my account information....

I think she's a hardworking mod and really knows her stuff.

Any other mod would have denied it as well. Your convo doesn't show the MSN address (which is required); it also doesn't show the end of the conversation, where he logs out, or the trade agreement, where you say who's going first.

All it shows is him giving you a method of trading, you telling him a password, and him being offline eventually. For all I know, in the next line, he found out the password didn't work, or that the account was banned, or hey - maybe it's him paying you.

To ban a user, you need to prove that they are scamming.

 

As much as i HATE sin, shes prob one of the best mods out there.

 

I love how you say you don't have any more information saved yet you can scroll up and down on the log?

 

chat logs arnt proof. they can be edited if he closed out of the chat, tough noodles kid, you live/you learn, next time play it safe and use protection (IE OMM/Trusted MM).

Sin does more than you think. Even if he did scam you, there's no proof that's the end of the convo. Enable time stamps on messages, and show the whole convo as well as the computer time at taking of the screenshot. Also, make sure you post the ENTIRE conversation window. Not just the shrunk window where all you show is your side of the trade.

The rest of the convo was just Hi and hello and explaining that he would do some fishing rod method.

 

You cropped out everything but the text, you only showed like half of the conversation, and you can't even see the MSN address of you OR the other person.

And by ALL OF THE CONVERSATION, they mean ALL OF THE CONVERSATION.

 

How would we know? There was no scrollbar, and no email. Those two are kinda critical, as well as seeing the entire thing.

 

We actually don't require the entire conversation. A lot of the really long reports go unanswered; mods don't like spending too much time on one report, especially when there are 10 more pages to sort through. But, we need enough to know what's going on, and where the trade went bad. One screenshot is almost never sufficient.

Consider what we'd do if Waverly Hills claimed that he did pay you. Your MSN bar indicates that there's another page left in the convo after you gave him the password. There's no way we could assert that he didn't hold up his end of the trade before logging out. It would be your word against his, and we cannot randomly favor one member over another like that. If we did, he would not have a fair chance to dispute. The burden is on you to prove that he scams, not on him to prove that he didn't.

If you're not sure how much proof is required, either leave the MSN window open, or save screenshots of the entire convo, post what you think is needed, and add the others if you are asked for more.

That said,
