What is Grindcore to You?

Well, recently after looking at plenty of Rock Band 2 DLC requests of people who want Grindcore songs, it turns out, many don't know what Grindcore is. So I decided to test if you guys know what bands are truly Grindcore to make sure not everyone is musically declined.

So name a few of your favorite Grindcore songs, and have everyone else decide if it really is Grindcore. Simple as that.

 

I think Grindcore is shitty. The only Grindcore band I like is Dr. Acula and I like Suicide Silence a little bit too.

 

Suicide Silence is deathcore.

Most of the music from any of those or utter crap now a days.
You need to go back to the good ole days where death metal was death metal.
Bands like Death, Obituary, Morbid Angel ect.

But, Devil Wear Prada, and several other band like that are considered Grindie/Grindcore.

Sucide Silence, White Chapel, Job For a Cowboy(scene metal, fuck that I think they are Grindcore)

Grindcore to me means putting your head at the edge of a cliff with a knife to your throat brutal but not super brutal like some slam death metal bands such as Disfiguring the Goddess.

 

Most definitely. Probably the two best Grindcore bands.

To correct you, JFAC and Whitechapel (Correct spelling is one word), are Deathcore/Brutal Metal. Deathcore is defined by its mixture of black lyrics (such as the lyric 'Anal Seepage Flowing' from one of my favorite Whitechapel songs) and the brutality of the guitar and the hard pounding drumbeats of Metalcore and Grindcore. See You Next Tuesday is a good Grindcore example.

I have been a metal head for more than half my life (9 years to be exact.) I know the difference between metal Styles.

Grindcore are the bands I listed above.
Deathcore is bands such as, Suicide Silence, JFAC, and WhiteChapel.
Death Metal is bands such as Bloodbath, Corpus Mortale, and Cannibal Corpse.
Black Metal is bands such as Burzum, Mayhem, and Gorgoroth.

If you want me to keep on going I can, but you sir, know nothing about metal.

For Christ Sake, you have one of the most shittiest metal bands out there in your signature. Stop hopping on the band wagon and listening to scene shit. It will all die eventually, listen to true, good metal kid.
