Please Help! Range Tank! Asap!

Okay.
I'm making a new Range Tanker and im looking for someone to help me. Like tell me some things so I dont mess up the stats.
I was out looking of the fourms and found this.

"99 Defence
99 Ranged
99 HP
1 Prayer
1 Summoning
40 Attack
99 Strength
XX Mage (Any level you want)

NOTE that the top 3 are what make combat level 97, ONLY. 40 Attack and 99 Strength will NOT raise the combat level, in fact, if 99 Ranged didnt exist, it would only be level 94.

COMBAT LEVEL - 97

With 43 Prayer - Combat level - 102"

If anyone could help me out what he means pretty much.
My stats are 40 Defence and 70 Range and thats it besides hp everything else is 1
I want to get prayer up but I dont know if that will ruin it also.
The reason want to get prayer is to get fire cape.
I want to work on other things like magic but I dont want to get my combat levels up. So if someone could please help me out and help me out on what that part I put in "" "". Do I have to get 99 hp defence and range until I can train mage? Cause I want to to train mage but dont want combat levels to go up. Also I want to train prayer. But I don know if that will ruin the account. I want to do animal magnatism but a requirement for it (restless ghost) gives you prayer exp.
If someone could help me out ASAP I would really appreciate it.

 

you need prayer or the account is pointless. Get 85 defense instead with 52 prayer so you max out at 100 cmb. Summoning should also be trained as tanks do arma.

do slayer for charms

You have unrealistic goals and this is more of a "dream" account than what you will ever acheive. Sorry to say but you don't seem to know what you're doing.

 

High prayer is definitely needed. You got to have backup your friends with that prayer.

Agreed, you don't seem to know alot about this.

You don't need 99 range to be an epic pure.

For example my old tanker had 85 range 40 defence 1 prayer 1 strength 1 attack 60 mage and I was pretty deadly just like that. Once you increase the combat levels you will find the defence level of players also increases which makes it very hard to adapt to the pvp

 

I suggest you get prayer, as well as a firecape for looks

Apart from that, your account will be leet in Bounty Hunter/PVP.

You have to have prayer... eagle eye does wonders. get 52, for smite. if you just get 44 you'll notice that smiter's will own your prayer..

Mage will NOT make your cb go up as long as it's equal or lower to your range lvl.

imo I don't think it's worth it then since you will exceed 100cb- at that point people will run around with 99 attack and str, making your def pointless.

Ide just make a barrow all-around pure- you have more fun and more options. Plus at a similar combat level you'll have attack and str in the 90s.

Get those stats.

 

You need pray as owain jones said or it is pretty much pointless

 

change the stats to this;

99 Defence

52-70 Prayer
1 Summoning
75 Attack
99 Strength
99 Mage
