Should I get Prayer? + Horror from the deep question

Sup people, I posted a few days ago about a Range 2h pure I'm working on.

Current stats: 40 atk, 60 str, 40 ranged, 1 pray.

I'm busy getting 60 ranged now but I'm thinking about getting 70 ranged and 65 stength and I'll PK on f2p. I've got 2 questions tho:

1. Should I get prayer, is it actually WORTH the extra combat levels? Which prayer level should I get? Would it make a difference for the decision to get prayer, if I choose to stay 60 str/ranged or get 70 ranged 65 strength? (Like: don't get prayer if you stay 60/60, do get prayer if you get 70/65),

and

2. ATM I don't got the cash to get a full zammy book but I want to have it anyways just for the looks (and I'll buy pages later), which stats are a must to complete Horror from the deep? Could I get it with these stats?

As for Horror, I've done it countless times on level 20s. What's your mage? If it's over 13, then yes, it's cake.

 

for prayer, i wouldnt get it up until your range and str are at least 70.

 

Stay 1 prayer. And really you only need like 30+ hp and 41 Mage for horror from the deep, as well as like 31 agil. My friend did it at lvl 18, just bring good food.

 

Dont get range prayer till your like 80+ range... But you dont need pray atm just wait till your around like 60-65 cb for pray. And like 60 mage 60 range 60 str would be good enough for horror from deep.

 

Horror from the Deep is different now... after the update.. you cant hide behind the pillers or whatever their called... the ones in the middle.... The daggonath will still be able to range you.

I did it with only magic at 55 hp on my pure.... Took me five tries. On my last try I had no food left and killed it with 6 hp to spare...

 

you won't really need prayer for horror from the deep i've done it mny times neva used prayer b4

 

Keep, one for now but when you train your range get it up.

Continue on with 60 attack 70+ str and around 75 range and mage for a goal.

 

Erm... How? I just did it 2 weeks ago and had no issues... I had 35 mage and sharks.

Along with completing RFD up to mith gloves at lvl 26

I'm sure you can do Horror. If you dislike agility, get 32 and use an agility pot.

 

1.) You'll eventually be getting Prayer just to combat pjers, but you should wait until your mid 60s to get it.

2.) Generally anything over 30 combat can do HFTD, and the full Unholy Book isn't worth it because it's costly, and gives the same stats as Guthix or Saradomin for 5x the price.
