    Is this bad?

I didn't have anything to compare it to.

    So, is it bad?

If it is, what would be good?

It's terrible tbh. Did you pick a server close to you to test the speed on? ( I surely hope so...) You might want to upgrade to a broadband/DSL if the server was close.

high ping, bad download, average upload.

    get cable if you can.

why is your upload much higher then your download?? it's normally the other way around..

See if your speed is corresponding to the price of whatever package you're paying for. I hope it's not. If they aren't, call your provider, and tell them about your problem.

How many megabytes did they say you would be getting whenever you signed up? Also, you may want to virus scan your whole computer as they can often suck the speed away.

I'm going to put something out there, where do you live? That looks like something average for a lot of Australian users, that looks a little below my speed.

    Maybe they'll be nice?
But really, unless you're running some program using a lot of bandwidth you aren't going to increase it much.

    Is this bad?

That's bad. Might as well include mine:

That's with Telstra (Bigpond). My upload is pretty bad
However Speedtest showed me I am over double the average speed both for Upload and Download, so I guess I'm pretty lucky.
The connection is $60 AUD / month, eventually it goes up to $100 / month but by then I will have moved on to another ISP due to the Bigpond quota (25gb). I miss unlimited downloading back in England!

    MY ADVICE:
I think the upload speed being higher than the download speed shows that you should be capable of a higher download speed. If your router has a webpage, logon to it and, if it's good, it will tell you the current speed the connection is operating. Make sure it matches what you are paying for. If it doesn't match, or if your router doesn't have a webpage or you don't have a router at all, contact your ISP ;)

How the hell on earth do you get 15.73 Mb/s download. I struggle to get 25kb/s with Telstra bigpond unlimited.
