Looking for a laptop

I'm looking for a laptop that has good hardware but trying to keep it around $1000 dollars or less. I could give or take a hundred. I've been looking at alienware and they have some sweet laptops but they seem overpriced. If anyone can recommend a laptop, that is decent looking and has good hardware post here please.

maybe a dell xps? there are some nice toshibas too.

Don't even think of buying an alienware.


laptops are, and always will be inferior and more expensive than desktops.

 

I was looking at one of those XPS. Looks nice, but why not buy an alienware?

 

I sort of doubt Alien Ware would have a laptop that's even under 1500, much less 1000 :S

It also depends what you're gonna use the laptop for. Hardcore gaming would make 1000 dollars tight.

 

buy a sony alienware u wnt find less den 1200, sonys u mite hav 2 spend bout 1.1 mor. but their the 2nd best choic IMO

 

Well alienware has a coupe starting at 1100 and 1200. I've been thinking about getting the M17 Alienware laptop. It looks pretty good. You can look at it on www.alienware.com But sony alienware? I have to look that up.

if you don't have enough for a alienware my second choice would be a sony. their long lasting, and reliable.

Don't get an alienware computer, they are pointless overpriced pieces of junk. Unless you are a professional gamer or have no life and play video games on your computer all day and need TEH BEST GRAHPICS EVUR!!!11! then there is really no need for one. Most computers work out fine playing games, get a Dell laptop, they are cost efficient and are good computers

 

a professional gamer would have a customized desktop, alienwares are overpriced and don't even compare to customized computers of similar value.

dell xps, as I said before. probably the best for the money.

 

Maybe even a compaq, i have a compaq presario notebook which is awesome

 

i have a compaq and its horrible, its just a stock laptop so its pretty bad, its old too. i would try www.sagernotebook.com and customize what you want.

 

Stock compaq's are terrible, however. If you buy a stock, and have Geek-Squad customize it, they are very surprising computer's.
