Basically do you want less government control, or more? Conservative being less, Liberal being more.

Discuss your reasoning please, and vote in the poll! :)

I vote conservative, the more power a government has, the more chance of corruption.

"Austro-Libertarian"? What does that exactly mean? How is "Austro-Libertarianism" fundamentally different than the likes of Libertarianism?

It's not different, it's more specific. It means that I am a Libertarian and I believe in Austrian economics.

Conservative. They need to cut back on taxes and shit. Some countries have the shops and stuff controlled and owned by the state/government. Which in my opinion is stupid.

Seems a tad unnecessary to me. It would be equivalent to someone claiming that they were a "Neoclassical-Conservative".

Within regards to the thread; I would classify myself as a Libertarian. Although I would be more than happy to see a complete abolition of the State, I highly doubt it will happen in my lifetime and thus I see Libertarianism as a much more realistic possibility.

I think it's pretty obvious that mostly all governments get somehow caught up in the economy and have some role in it, so I don't see any problem with stating the approach the government should take on the economy alongside the type of government I feel is right.

I'm Conservative also... very Conservative. The government needs to stop taking the states power away.

    Not willing to mark.

Conservative implies conservative on social issues as well, including gay marriage and abortion.

I wouldn't want the government to have too much power.

That's the problem with America. Conservative means less government, which is good, but it also means anti-gay marriage, pro-life, and pro-war. While Liberal mean more government, but pro-gay marriage, pro-choice, and anti-war. They are both bad lol.

Traditionally yeah, but I don't think you could say that about the majority of people that apply those terms to themselves. (Except maybe the conservative = more gov intervention [though many of their policy ideas would lead to it])

Socially yes, but if you use the terms conservative and liberal like modern Americans do, I'm a shit ton more "conservative" than republicans.

It's not confusing at all. I'm using the terms using modern-day, popular English. The terms were defined in the first post and I have been using them as reference points as to not confuse anyone. Why you try to sounds smart by saying conservative is government and vice-versa is beyond me.
