Obama and the North Korean nuclear threat

Do you believe that North Korea has all of a sudden started to somewhat advance their military and threaten a nuclear war on the USA because they see the US president as weak? Do you think that if Bush was still in office that they would have? Personally I think a lot of the other countries see the United States as weak in the military now that Obama is president since literally he goes to different countries and apologizes to them for what we have done over the past eight years. I don't think this is how war is going to be solved, not over cups of tea and apologies.

More or less North Korea is trying to retain their image as the leadership switches hands. Now that I think about it, President Bush wouldn't(and couldn't) do anything much different. America cannot afford a third war.

North Korea won't do anything. It's the U.S.... Get us in a defensive position and you will seriously get f*cked up.

We should just supply South Korea with weapons and supplies let them deal with North Korea and then they can have all the land. :D

Seems like North Koreans feel more power full then others but im not saying USA isn't strong to other country's either but people say Mccain is better of being the president but I think Obama gets a chance.

Obama and the North Korean nuclear threat

Well, I have read articles about North Korea and their nuclear tests. How I see it is, they're probably planning something I mean why else would they be testing nuclear weapons? What do they have to fear right now? The war in Iraq is almost over and they're not involved nor are they being threatened by Iraq. Russia, China, Japan, USA, and a few other countries are trying to get North Korea to rethink on their future plans. If something isnt done about this soon, I believe it could possibly lead to a third world war. Which could also lead to another draft (For the USA atleast, they still have clearance to draft troops in an emergency situation. Discuss.

There's nothing to dicuss. The notion you present is just foolish.

    1. North Korea's ability to create ICBM's is shaky.
    2. North Korea's ability to create nuclear missiles is dubious *seismic data shows that their testing is yieldings nukes of horrendous power and efficiency, really fizzles not explosions.
    3. North Korea's natural resources (highly enriched unanium) is sparing.

You ask why they would test their weapons? Well use your head, because what North Korea wants is just the attention that you're giving them. If you honestly believe any leader's best interest is starting a mass nuclear holocaust you're naive. Korea's leader might be a douche bag but he isn't an idiot.

Third world war? A small-ass country without any allies can't start a world war. I don't think they'll even try attacking South Korea anytime soon. That's "soon" in a historical perspective.

I really think McCain would be better for the job. They know McCain has been experienced and they wouldn't want to mess with him. To be honest, Obama is probably confused and doesn't know what to do. Stick with smart presidents please... And to north korea... They have only what, 20 missles compared to the US' 5,000?

Some underground testing has been conducted... they managed to perform a bit of fission, but like said earlier, the explosive power was extremely low.
