Is magic shit in rs3?

Any advice on combat early stage in rs3? Im casting air bolt on general khazard and i wont be able to finish him before the game update lol. Am i missing something?

Any gear advice? I got 100M in a chest so i can spend some

 

What level are you, what do you plan to kill?
Magic is not shit, depends on a boss though.

 

I did fight arena and it took like 25mins to kill the general with air bolt. I think most of ironman use god spell ill get 60mage and try that

 

After you get like 70+ try elite dungeons 3, Shadow Reef.
Huge experience and rewarding.
