Just as a heads up, I am not accusing Yirru of being a scammer. I have done business with him before, and I know it is highly unlikely that it was intentional. However, I could not really find any other section to discuss this and I just wanted it here for the record for a peace of mind.

I'd advise anyone doing crypto transactions to not use BTC at current tx fee volatility, and use eth instead so you don't end up in my situation.

It has now been 9 days and I'm still looking at 0 confirmations.

I expect the transaction to hopefully go through eventually, or be dropped. However, I was a bit curious what the precedent for this is.

Questions I had:
1. Is the receiver of the BTC responsible for all volatility in the time that it is unconfirmed on the mempool?
ex. If we agreed to $660 but by the time it arrives in my wallet, its worth $330 who would take the hit?
2. If the transaction is dropped and resent would it be at the USD we agreed on, or the actual BTC that was sent?
3. What is a reasonable time frame for this to be resolved, hypothetically if it stays unconfirmed for a month+, are people in my situation just supposed to continue waiting?

 

All of this is true. However, I have sent this transaction with a 7.5$ fee, more than most providers would send if they were covering fees.

The blockchain network has been clogged for the past 2 weeks now and many of us are having issues.
The only thing we can do right now is wait.

As you can see I've sent a 7.5$ fee with the transaction, so I can't see any fault of my own here. I myself am waiting for transactions to come in still.

I don't really see a resolution other than waiting.
