Guide to non-bordom!

Okay, this could be either THE most usfull or THE most un-usfull guide, depending on who you are, but you might aswell read it, as it might just help you out!

Tips to not guide bored whilst on Runescape:

• Lisen to music - Probably the best method, lisening to music stops you from getting bored as it gives you two things to focus on, which challenges your mind, thus keeping you entertained. Lisen to whatever, depending on what your doing; I like lisening to Hardstyle mustic whilst playing as it is fast and makes me feel as if I'm training faster, when I'm actually not, it's just a trick of the mind.

• Interacting - Talk to other players whilst your doing stuff, especially if it's something boring like Woodcutting or Fletching. Ask them about their levels, their aims, what music they like etc. Just make sure you don't go breaking the rules...

• Examining - This may sound completly stupid, but it can actaully work.. Whilst your going on long walks, or are just simply bored, examine stuff in the area. You might actually find out something new from doing this, or it may just cure your bordness. (Right click the object/item and scroll down to examine)

• Camera Angles - Use the arrow keys a bit, move them at different angles to see different things, when I'm bored sometimes I like to spin in circles! :nuts:

• Variation - Keep what your doing on Runescape varied, don't just do Woodcutting for ages, do a little bit of everything. When you get bored of Woodcutting move onto some combat, whilst bored of that, do some fishing! Just keep whatever your doing varied, if your doing stuff for a correct ammount of time, you will have fun playing, and will actually probably be much more successful!

Any of your own ideas, please post, I just thought of these of the top of my head over the last 5 minutes.. I thought of doing this post a few days ago but then forgot.. >_<

P.S. I am in the process of writing my DDS/Ancients guide that some people have requested. I had nearly completed it, but the computer froze, and I had to start from what I had saved..(Which was not a lot at all)

This is just an idea, but if you find Runescape so boring that you have to distract yourself, wouldn't the obvious answer be to not play? It's a game. You should only play it if it's fun for you.

If something's unbearably boring, then don't do it. It's how I've managed to play since 2001 with no 99 stats. I didn't spend time doing boring things.

 

Lol, I like how someone is critiquing a guide about how how to cure boredomness I give it a 10/10 because it got me unbored for the minute it took to read it and post this.

 

I like to call someone whenever I'm training, that way I can have a life while wasting it. Music is also a pretty good idea. I have 300 songs on my computer that are always on shuffle, so it's pretty easy to keep me entertained.

On-topic I think this is a good idea.
When I am doing repetitive skills such as when I was getting 99 fletching - I just watched films while I did it.

I do find Runescape boring in some situations yes..and I've got into Runescape Private Servers now. I play Runescape from time to time when I feel like it..
But I posted this guide just telling players what they could do whilst doing repetative skills.. But seriously, have you ever gone for 99 Fletching or Woodcutting.. If you have, you CANNOT say that it isn't boring..Most people only go for 99 Fletching because it's one of the easiest and just the fact that they want a skill cape.
I only post guides now to help other players learn. I had my fun playing Runescape, but then I realised it's just a game and I have better things to do with my life. I still like online gaming, it's just I don't let it completly consume me like some people. I used to play Runescape almost everyday, but then I realised it was kind of obsessive.. So I stopped, I now play when I feel like it. But usually it's just pking on one of my pures.
