RS3 Rant

Hey everyone i just want to get some feedback from experienced rs3 players.
I recently found a tread on banned RS accounts and learned that they unban accounts after major updated such as OSRS to RS3 so i said what the heck ill try so after a few attempts of recovery i was able to access my original account from 2005 that was banned 7 years ago.

But from what i have seen so far is that it seems very pay to win, By a large margin and yes i know OSRS is a little like that with being able to buy bonds, But rs3 seems to go much farther than that.

I love playing Pest Control for training in OSRS there seems to be no activity at pest control in RS3.
Also i hate the new combat attack options, just not use to it i am sure id eventually get a hang of it

I guess what i would like to have is some insight on RS3 i am pretty much a solo player and just like doing things on my own. I am a OSRS player them bringing it back was a very happy time for me hahaha.

 

I only play RS3 now because it's available on mobile. And compared to other mobile games that are all Pay2Play RS3 is nothing. I too came back after having my account banned many years ago thinking it will never get unbanned. I put in too many legit hours in rs3 to go and start again in osrs which is why I never made the switch.

I can't really compare the two but I would have wanted the old combat for sure. I too have a hard time adjusting with it, and I'm lv138 lol. I literally die easy with the easiest boss, I guess we just need practice. I like that the bosses have a practice mode which is pretty cool. I think that will be a good way to get better and eventually will get the hang of it.

 

I agree i have a really decent account i want to play but i just cant seem to adjust, i really hate the combat system, i found today that there is a way to switch it to OSRS style. I think if i had a buddy to play with that was very familiar with it that would be my best bet at playing this game.

 

yea.. though a lot of people seem to have liked the new combat system, I'm pretty sure a lot of people would agree that the very simple combat system of OSRS is what attracted people to the game.

 

Or if you had a buddy who was also a newbie and you both could train together *cough cough hint hint *wink wink ... um .... nudge nudge ... I'm all out of hint. Lol.

It's hard finding someone who's experienced to teach a newb cuz it would take a lot of time on their part imo and unless it's a really really good friend, hard to find tbh.

Especially if you're like me, coming back after 7 or so years with all friends on list never on, most likely all or most quit. *sigh*

 

A lot of RS3 content is dead, the rewards are too underpowered compared to other items available via bosses. Really I'd say the only challenging and probably fun way to play RS3 these days is with an ironman account.

 

Yeah it would be a nice thing but honestly i am more of a solo player most of the time, and yeah from everywhere i am reading a lot of people are calling rs3 on its last legs. but who knows i love osrs. working on an ironman right now for osrs.
