    Mixed Martial Arts

Just thought I'd see if anyone here's into MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)... Y'know, the UFC and shit.

Atm, I goto an MMA class once a week. I'm hoping, over the next few years, to get a few bouts in. Maybe make a bit of a name for myself. Idk, the UK MMA scene isn't so good & the UFC is waayy out of my league.

Also, I love watching UFC events. You can't beat watching two guys beating the shit out of each other. But yeah, I absolutely adore it.

Anyone else into the UFC or anything? xD

    It looks pretty cool.
I'm thinking of taking a Boxing class or something during the summer.

My friends and I MMA on my trampoline-theres no where else that's padded+not bad if you get picked up and thrown- with real UFC gloves, and kicking, punching, wrestling, submissions, etc... We don't take it to seriously, but it does get pretty heated at points...

But yeah, I like/do it occasionally.

We use mats at our class, they're about an inch or so thick, so it's good to fall on... The problem is, when you're rolling around on the floor, they move. Anyway, Tuesday night, the mats moved as two of my mates were sparring, they left about a foot square of solid wooden floor. One of my mates picked up the other, and slammed him down HARD! Guess where his head landed? This tiny square where there was no mat. He carried on with the match, but, after, he stood up and pretty much just fell over, all his mouth was bloodied up and he could barely walk cuz of the concussion. Pretty fun. =]

That's actually a great idea. The only thing I would be worried about though is if someone gets close to the edge or the springs. I've wrestled before on a trampoline and getting any of your extremities caught in those springs is a bitch. You could always do it on the grass, but then again takedowns would be painful.

I used to box for almost 2 years, but gave it up because it took up too much of my time for just a hobby. I didn't have many fights because kids my age fighting were scarce, but I sparred a lot and got some good practice like that. There used to be a boxing gym were people would train by me, so a place like that had a lot of talent and people to practice with which was good.
