Teacher sends cops after you if you don't come to school

You guys think this is right or wrong?

I'm kind of split on the issue. If the kid just pushes it through, it'll all be over with and he wouldn't have to deal with school anymore. But then again they are forcing him to do something and go somewhere, and they are using police to scare him into doing it, which is hugely undermining his freedom.

TBH my teacher just lets me leave class when theres nothing left to be done, I just left before class was over today when I finished my exam

 

Kids have no freedom in school.

 

Yeah kids don't have any freedom at all really, unless you have cool teachers

Well, i guess its fair, cuz they're having troubles at school and would benefit them.

 

Also, it's against the law anyway. You can't leave until you're 16, and he was 13. So anyway. They can do it.

I'm mixed with this one. I feel where they're coming with this, but at the same time I feel teenagers need to make some decisions on their own, with out help from adults.

Well I guess the teachers are going easy because it'd be Truancy. I guess they have their hearts in the right place. In my opinion, they're just looking after the kids for their benefits.

Haven't you noticed more people have more successful lives if they graduate from high school?

I mean it is a good thing that they are inspiring them to go back to school, they are not forcing them.

Then again, the world needs plumbers, farmers, and grocers. You need little schooling to be those.

I think if the kids that are dropping out have a career plan, then they should leave them alone. As for the people that just plan on living off welfare their entire lives without giving back to the economy, get those fuckers in school.

 

That's the freedom that's absent. Forcing kids to go to school and receive a conformist education is evil, and using police force to put them in there is even more of an evil.

It's like giving someone a biology textbook because you want them to be educated and then pointing a gun to their head to make sure they read it.

And to add on, the kid in the video still didn't graduate.

In Australia they take away assistance if you're child truants too many days.

 

yea, thats wrong, i watched like 1 min of it, thats bull shit, he abuses his powers way to much

 

- lol @ being against conformist at basic skills
- Police is the main way to get to some kids, once parents are of no matter
- They want the countries future to be at it's best. And some people don't work without a little push
- The kid was 13. So I doubt he'd graduate that young.

 

Its sad...Luckly in Australia they havn't started doing that. Otherwise i'd be dead, ay

 

Haha in our school we can walk out of the class and the teachers are like we can't do anything about it. So if you want to leave class you can but you'll get in crap later

 

Yeah the teachers 'say' that but they don't mean it.

I remember teachers telling me 'if you don't do your homework, i don't care, you won't get in trouble, its your life, if you choose to fail then its up to you'.

So i was like 'okay sweet'.

Next day i didn't do my homework, got a detention. Teachers are hypocrites.


In relation to the actual thread:
Kid's should have to go to school, those that don't end up going no where in life anyway. So its better if they do.
