For those who don't know:

DDoS = Distributed Denial of Service (sends a flood of packets from multiple computers to one internet connection, thus disconnecting that persons internet for a certain amount of time)
How elvy got the IP: Pretty much, i registered www.imageshack**** ... what that means is: http://*.imageshack****/* = redirect to my site... so for example:
http://img9.imageshack****/img9/3920/9294902020.png
http://img30.imageshack****/img30/2910/300122393.jpg
etc...
would redirect to my site, and i just view the traffic logs and get the ip. (though elvy did this, not me. I use it to mess with these wannabe pure-hardcore clans )

What's ddos'd? Never heard of that.

 

DDoS = Denial of Service. He basically kicked him off the internet temporarily. This is done a lot more via xbox live.

And if they did a DDoS instead of a DoS for one pk in RS they are pretty hilarious.

Considering how illegal it is, risking jail time for a pk is pretty funny.

No, if you DoS the odds are pretty high.
Unless you have fully protected yourself and covered tracks.

Attack the connection and they either lag like hell if they have a good comp, or dc.

Really, the odds of people actually reporting you for Dos'ing them if slim to none. Most cases go no where because of the different countries the attacks may have came from and the fact that very little damage was done.

Probably IRC, it is easy to get with a simple whois.
