Need help with paypal

I want to sell something through here, my fried recomended i use egold, but i want to use pay pal. Never used it before, i had a question, if i just have an account, with no bank account or credit card linked to my paypal accoun, can i still reaceive money and have a balance in my pay pal account? and what kind of account should it be Premium or just a simple Buyer one?
