Child support; the father and mother

The basis for survival does not depend on marriage, else we would not be able to mate at our teenage years.

 

I do believe he is entitled to pay child support because it was both that decided to engage in sexual intercourse.

 

he decided he doesn't want anything to do with the child, and she kept it..why should he pay for it?

 

my half brothers father (mom had sex with two different men) personally owes my brother 50,000 in child support which will never get paid(my mom gave US the money so that we would learn responsibility she obviously watched what we bought but she taught us alot about groceries,bills, and such)

i dont think its fair that a parent can walk out of a childs life and the child suffer yeah if the parent can afford to pay for the child and herself/himself then by all means do it, but if your in debt you need to do whatever you can to help you and your child make it

Because he took part in creating it, they post participated in the act that they both are aware can cause pregnancy.

 

Babies can always be aborted.

 

I would say if the father was seeing the baby then of course he would have to pay. But clearly he said to her he doesn't want the baby and cannot/will not support it before it was born. The responsibility then becomes that of the mother because she decided that she wanted to have the baby with out his support.

 

Though the father doesn't have a choice in abortion, you are saying the father should be able to choose if he wants to stay with the girl and have a kid or just leave and not support it, but he shouldn't have the right to put in his say regarding the abortion? I don't think the women should have the right to decide to abort a baby or not let alone without the fathers consent.

 

I do not think the father needs to pay child support if he is unwilling to care for the child at a time where abortion can be done.
If the women forcibly want the child herself she should take full responsibility of the child and the father can never be involved in the child's life.

 

Yes i do have to agree that the women has the last say on abortion, but if the father does want to abort and do not want to take responsibility of the child they should be allow to because the Father originally want to abort and its the mother decision to keep the child.
