Chatrooms

I think it would be neat if there were live chatrooms on the site where members can talk about topics and such. It would probably be hard to keep them well moderated though. Just throwing an idea out there :idea:

 

It would be spammed loads, and would make the whole site lag, also, as you said, it'd be very hard to moderate, so I don't think it would be such a great idea.

 

Indeed it would be spammed, perhaps if you needed 500+ post(or to donate to sythe?) or something to access it, users would act more mature and give respect to other members keeping it a nice and organized chat

 

then why would people come on the forums?

If you post on the forums it might take people a while to reply, however, if you say something in the chat box, people will reply instantly.

(I still don't think a chatbox is a very good idea )

Well, it could be limited to certain subjects, and you could keepout the marketplaces and such. I just thought it would be fun to chat with people, but i see where your coming from, it probably wouldn't work.

Perhaps a chatbox in the lower corner so you can chat with other members like on facebook would be a more realistic idea? It would probably produce lag though.

 

There's an unofficial sythe IRC if you want to chat with other Sythe members if you didn't know.

 

This is worse than a shout box. This suggestion will be denied because it will get spammed like crazy, and it will make Sythe be down even more than it already is.

 

IRC is aviliable, for those who know how to use it *cough*

Would make the site very laggy indeed, too much spam. However maybe a future with a chatroom, live messaging site away from sythe but set up for sythe?
