Very nice post, it should be stickied. lol I remember the Falador Massacre, I wasn't there, but I think the player behind it was Durial321 and some other people. Thing about Fally massacre that makes it bad ass though is the fact that it happened on 6/6/06.

There was a real simple dupe that could be done in the rs2 beta. I found out about it by myself.

Basically in the rs2 beta all the characters and their items were transferred over to the rs2 servers, but the data was only transfered when ur character logs in.

So all you had to do was get a rare item, make some new chars, give the item to the new char, then log in with the new char. since u already logged into rs2 with the main, the rare item was already created in rs2. and since u logged in with the new char after u got the rare item, it also created a copy of that char with that rare item in rs2.

 

I looked at the noclip video, and I thought it was quite funny.

That right there, is 95% of the Runescape user base. They don't know how fun it is breaking the rules, and they cannot even be bothered to spell correctly

lol seriously. i posted it in the forums after the beta and a mod deleted my post and told me to not post about exploits, even patched ones.

 

There have been many duel arena bugs all if used properly would cause you to win/have a very good chance to win the duel thus making them profitable.

Some that I have used + some that were around back in the staking days include;

Bandages from CW. You could use them in duel arena during a non-food fight.

Guthix Rest Tea when it first came out it healed you 100%. You could do a food on fight, get down to 20hp, drink some tea and then fully heal yourself.

Throwing knife bug. After an update in early 2008 (wasnt a major update only a quest i belive) caused the throwing knives stats to stack. So if you had 100 rune knives you would get a crazy range bonus like 900+. This was quickly fixed an hour or so after in a system update.


Safe spot in obstacle on duels. If you stood on this spot whilst the player ran to attack you they would run slighty to the side and unable to attack no matter where they ran from. You then simply pulled out a halbard and attacked.

2vs1 bug There was a bug where you could have one extra person in the duel with you basiclly causing a 2vs1.

Move on non-movment duels The day they changed the appearance of the duel screen caused a bug in non movemt duels. On the second duel screen you would click accept then quickly click on the radar. Your char would turn as if to walk there. (viewable by other accounts) You would be teleported into the duel and the 3..2..1 fight! would apear. As soon as that finished your char would walk up towards the spot you clicked on earlyer. To stop him walking you slimpy clicked on the screen, if timed right you could make him walk so there was 1 square gap between you and the person you was fighting. You then simply pulled out a halberd and attacked.

EDIT: The guthix tea bug happend on 1st march 2005.

 

I know christmas 05, if you remember imps could be places that were in accesible.

Completely wrong. Forced Teleports (FTs) have been a fundamental part of bugging since the beginning. Good examples of this would be the Al Kharid Gate FT which allowed you to smuggle items from houses (such as legends cape from a rack on a level 3) and the Duel Arena FT that you mentioned in the section on the blood dupe.
