I need a opinion about range on my pure

Well i made a 1 def pure, im mainly going to train strength, 60 att, 31 pray, and train mage without getting hitpoints. i need a good opinion about range though. Should i range with a cannon, but not get hitpoints and spend a large amount of money until 70? or should i just train range regularly and get hitpoints. i think if i used a cannon that the extra combat levels i wouldn't gain by hitpoints might make a difference in PvP. What do you all think?

 

Hitpoints are very crucial for pures, just train using iron knives or arrows. With 1 def, hp is basically like the only defense pures have.
