Ok. Those of you that have been here a good 3-5 years will know that I used to make big $$$ by merching and selling the mils for $10-15 each. I used to make larggggee $$

I haven't played since ~2007. I missed out on a lot

Due to changes in the game, I no longer know how to do this. The market is so separated from the game, it seems.

How do people merch now? Anyone willing to help me out?

I bot a little and have a good bit of starting $

 

Hey well there's some clans that manipulate the prices and buy all of that item until the item skyrockets and then once it does they will sell it all and make a ton of cash. Jansen, do you have aim?

Join a merchant clan and just use the grand exchange charts here - http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/p=kKmok3kJqOeN6D3mDdihco3oPeYN2KFy6W5--vZUbNA/frontpage.ws to choose particular things to merchant. It resembles the New York Stock Exchange almost completely. The whole supply and demand things go into effect; basic economics. Take chances, buy things out when they're crashing hoping for a spike back up, etc. If you know updates are coming in the near future, then you buy items that will be in demand once it's out. Ex: New BH; buy pking supplies, rune, food, etc.

As other have said your best way is joining a clan the price manipulates. Its the art of buying an item until it reaches a certain price, and then having everyone dump the item (causing the price to crash).

Thats how it is now.

 

Many ways. Just browse the GE Thing on the Homepage and find items that have gone up. Furys have being a bit.. Merching now isn't really reliable, items are constantly rising and dropping

Read my guide. I'm pretty sure it still works. I wouldn't listen to the people above because it is risky since items are not really at a stable price. You could however join a team of price manipulators.

If I'm right today/whole this week everyone are buying clean/grimy irits, prices are going up like woooah.

Not sure when will the selling of them start, probably next week, when price's will be +100%.

 

everything people have said here is right.
go to w2 and look for people advertising " wanna make big $$$ join this persons clan chat"
then they tell you an item to buy heaps of at max price,
then after 3-7 days of it sky rocketing in price in the ge
they dump them ( sell them off )

 

So since you're an experienced merchant, what do you think of the wegali? Someone (on sythe, I think) posted saying something like the price of wegali will skyrocket once demand kicks in. I think I'm going to invest in them.

 

I bot for pure ess and sell it. Makes about 100k an hour. There's much better ways, but I like this method cuz it levels my mining. Another option is killing green dragons for bones and hides, tan, sell.

I'm working on sailing up a few items in the millions range.

 

my friend started with 5m and did this all in f2p and in 2 months he has a green party hat he said just merchant in the G.E. by buying god armors and selling for more.
