Explanation of the trade:
I enquired with Flights about working for his skilling & questing etc. services business. Quickly it was agreed that I could start, and that there was two orders already available waiting to be taken. One order was 72-99 Agility and the other was 183 through to Quest Point Cape. I decided to take the QPC order.

Starting the order, I thought it was odd that I wasn't added to a ticket with the "customer", seeing as Flights has a Discord server with the ticket bot. I asked Flights about this and he said:

Anyway this was all cool, I didn't mind, just as long as I was getting paid - that's all I thought to myself.

I make my way through to 270~ QP, getting some skill requirements along the way too (7~ woodcutting levels and 2~ mining levels).

All was well until one morning, I woke up and the account had a temporary ban for macroing. I sort of panicked, I didn't know why this ban was placed and I immediately thought that I'd get nothing for the many hours of work I've put in. I go ahead and tell Flights and he is also shocked as he neither has used a bot, nor apparently has his customer.



We talk over the situation a bit, and I think we're both glad it's just a two day ban, although we're both confused as to how the ban was placed. I gently bring up the subject of me being paid, and he says:

He also proceeds to tell me it's a perm ban, when I already knew it was a temporary ban (potentially to make firm that I'm not getting any $? I don't know - wild accusation)

For a while now, though, I've known (had the sense), that this account isn't a customer's, it's actually his. Which, to be fair, wouldn't be against any rules or anything I guess. Just the fact that he lied to me. After I call him out, he tells me I will be paid.

He gave me a job for 240m for a Quest Point Cape from 183QP (+ minor skill reqs). I've been paid 162m.

Also, I wouldn't like to work with someone who tells lies, so I would like my 100m deposit back; apparently however my deposit is now gone because of something that is both of our control (the ban from Jagex).

Finally, is it acceptable that Flights tax's me, when he's lying to me about it being a customer's account, when really it's his own account. He tax's 20% of the order, which would bring the 240m down to 192m.

There is a ToS on his Discord server for workers. He never asked me about it, or pointed me in the direction of it, to agree to it. I actually only found it after all of this happened, as I was looking for the same thing.

As you can see, there's mention of no "pay" but, no mention of a deposit not being refundable.

 

Also to note he got the account banned for macroing after being the only user on the account for a week.

We've both agreed we have no idea why the ban was placed. You literally said yourself "I'm not saying you used a bot". Also, this has already been noted.

as stated i told him the deposit is there depending on the outcome of the ban appeal that ive already submitted.

it could be up to 2 weeks for a response.

 

the 162m is a payment for what he did do on the account , the 18m was taken out of what he didnt do. (which is fairly generous for the 5 quests that were left)

 

How can you tax me, though, when you were making me work on your own account? Doesn't seem right...

But I'm mainly fighting for the deposit back tbh.

 

i had told him that he would get 80% of the total cost and that was around 240m
he had agreed before even starting and taking the account information.
