Why Should I be a User Educator?

I consider myself to be a decently intelligent person, amidst some highly intelligent people that refer to themselves as members of this forum - more directed towards the moderators and a few interesting thinkers within intelligent discussion, user education, etc. I've currently set up my MM application in hopes to become and OMM at Sythe, and becoming a UE would just add to the stature which I hope to gain. I wouldn't consider my guides 'guides' per se. I would refer to them as informative threads with my perspective on a particular process, threads which portray the knowledge which I have gained and am posting in attempts to educate the other members, etc. My guides aren't going to teach you 'how take a screen shot' or 'how to build an engine' or something along those things. I know that the guides which I put forth can easily show members processes which are established in society such as 'the basics of nutrients'.

I have a great time writing extensive guides on subjects which I consider myself familiar with, but my guides usually aren't enticing to read. I'm not a big fan of color, images, etc. Most of my guides won't contain pictures (I know they can help describe a process, and when I feel pictures are needed, they will be posted) due to the fact my descriptive wording can provide an internal picture of the process. If something is difficult to comprehend and I am aware of it, there will be pictures for the process.

My posts within the forums would be considered intelligent - at least to my standards. Nothing I will do will particularly embarrass the forums, I just stick to a few forums. I don't consider myself highly active in the section, but I've created my application in hopes to further educate myself with some of the more educational guides. Hopefully with acceptance to I could further view the forums and post more often. I tend to answer questions which are posed a lot (ask DropKick Murphy's), and I see this as helpful due to the fact that questions which are put forth in the help section could be answered by me.

Sometimes my guides take time to come out because they are well thought out. My guides in the section won't be posted on a daily basis, but perhaps one every 2-3 weeks. It seems that the user educators are regarded on the forums and I hope to consider myself one of them.

Everything which I post is easily comprehensible, except for some of my jargon which my be difficult to understand - but I'm always happy to explain what a word means or explain a slang term without a problem. I'm not going to lie I am doing it for the rank and in hopes to gain some respect, but I'm also doing it in hopes to share some of the information I have learned with the lot of the people on the forum. Hopefully the team likes the content of my application and guides and as you can tell I tend to ramble, thus I end my little informative paragraph.

Good luck, the best way it seems to be accepted is to concentrate your guide around self explanatory topics. You would be good off with a guide on 'using paper', that's sure to get you accepted

 

So I guess that's you taking a direct shot at me...Otherwise it's you commenting on the content of the accepted users guides.

Good lucky you seem like a pretty smart person, I think you deserve it your guides are good, but a small suggestion is make them longer

I just added my most recent guide, which is covers chemistry broadly - the basics. Only one more guide then I'll be able to get my application to the pending status.
