Jagex's New- MechScape. \/Thought Thread\/

Will it be good? Will it not? Who knows? Will it leave Rs2 in the dust like they did with RsC? Will they stop updating Rs2 like they did RsC? Post your thoughts! :]

 

No, no and no.

Mechscape is going to a completely different game than Runescape. It is not an upgraded version of Runescape. Im sure it will start out slow, and slowly pick up users. I doubt it will ever reach the success that Runescape has achieved, though.

Did Jagex stop updating RuneScape once they made FunOrb? No.

MechScape isn't a "RuneScape 3" or something like RuneScape 2 is to RuneScape Classic- MechScape is something entirely different.

 

My fear is that they're going to make Mechscape, and will dis continue the updates for runescape, leaving us behind.

 

That's fine though, They discontinued updates for starcraft 2 years ago and there is still 1000's playing daily. Not updating can't stop the love for the game

 

It will be like Funorb etc, like how people play that and Rs, it won't kill rs

 

Mechscape is going to suck. Very few people will play it (compared to runescape) and hardly anyone who happily plays runescape will leave it for mechscape.

 

I't wont be as good as runescape, It's going to start of like runescape and more people will come and start playing it.

 

Mechscape will be very similar to runescape in the sense there will probably be quest, stats, places to go and so on. But the game is based on machines and modern-day weapons; not middle aged swords and shit.

 

I don't think it will be nearly as good as Runescape, but I'm not really into modern-day weaponry.

With that said, I'll probably still play it when it starts. Who knows, it may be popular one day and I may have an old account

 

I think rs will still top it off. Mechscape sounds very stupid, and even if they do make it I think it will fail. Rs will still be the best of the two, no doubt about it.

 

well at the current rate not updating might be a huge improvement and they wont stop with runescape as it is simply to big a money spinner for themand -looks set to remain that way

Yes. That was what I was thinking, but if they do stop updating RuneScape then that means they will stop "watching" over it and we can bot freely like on RsC they don't watch for abusers any more. >_<

And I suppose you're psychic? It's pointless to make assumptions about what Mechscape will be, what it will become, or whether or not it will hurt the RuneScape community. If it ends up hurting the RuneScape community, it will mean that it's better than RuneScape - hard to beilve, I know, but people aren't going to ditch RuneScape for a crappy pointless game.

i saw a thread on this before it said that they were not going to leave rs2 and they will keep updating.

i might play mechscape but still play rs2
