mod's not having appear offline option.

this really annoys me, if i want to get in contact with a mod i have no idea if there online or offline please change it.

 

Mods should be able to browse the forums just to browse, not to mod, once in a while. When they are logged on an visible, I am sure they get pm's quite often. I know how much that would annoy me, I hate those pop ups.

 

they donn't have to be a mod, if your a mod you know your going to have pm's.

 

Wow, you want them to remove an option designed to do exactly as you've said; prevent contact with you, aren't you a smart one.

 

We should take away there ability to give infractions, also.

there is no point....
its hardly like a scammer will go on ever mods profile and check if there online
think, some one has been scammed they want to tell a mod, oh look all the mods are offline (undercover looking for the scammer). admins only for undercover.

 

Only globals+ can. They do it so that they are not annoyed constantly by people.... >_>

 

Sometimes I need to go about business with a degree of stealth (IE catching potential scammers) and a scammer seeing a global in their thread wouldn't lead to much action. Not to mention the influx of private messages is quite annoying. I don't appear invisible all the time, however.

Only globals get it, which is another thing that ALL moderators should have.
Seriously? Only globals can edit signatures? Never knew that.

 

Really the only things sectional mods have access to are giving infractions, instant temp bans (not perm), IP searching, and closing/deleting threads in their section

 

I'd assume that IP searching and temporary bans are greater than editing signatures, but apparently I'm wrong. I mean what would happen if a moderator totally went berserk and EDITED all the signatures on Sythe!!! That would be crazy!

I actually dont think this is too much of a good idea.. sure they are mods and they do need to assist people and help as much as possible but if they are working with a couple people at a time and neeed to focus on a couple players problems at a time they should be able to go invisisable so they can get it done faster and then move on to the next players once they are done with the current problem.
