Well i have vb and use vbulletin.org.

and ive found a mod where you have a flag on your name everytime you post you select it through user CP.

I think its a good idea to represent your country.

I support this, it'd be a cool way to see which Country people are from .

Yeah i used it on my forum, quite fun tbh. Even though only way to abuse it would be people putting country's there not from. IE: Khazakstan. :/
but overall it's a good idea. and People using proxies to show where there from well, you sythe staff can take care of that im sure.

How would it slower sythe down, it's not something big. And no offence half the users don't know how to join the IRC so they won't know how to use the flag.

 

If it were to identify the nations by IP, it could indeed slow the forum down, although it wouldn't affect the speed that much if you entered the country manually, which would also cause abuse.

Nope nothing to do with IP address's at all, only problem is people being annoying such as someone being from USA and putting there country to Pakistan.
