    Best antivirus?

What is the best free and paid anti-virus? I'm currently using the free version of AVG, and it does the job. I've also heard some good things about Avast and some horrible things about Norton. I'm planning on buying some good antivirus software once I buy my new computer.

So what do you think? What is the best, and the most cost effective?

    Best antivirus?

I'm using AVG 8.5 Free and it does an excellent job. Between that and the built in stuff on Windows Vista, I think I'm pretty safe.

I'd recommend AVG for free and Norman as paid for. :)
