"Thanks" System - easier way to gain trust.

Agree this would work .

 

A scammer like this guy would love to suggest a system like this because it fails.

Your right. It will be abused by people making new members just to give away negative rep (or take away thanks). It would be a good idea if the "take away thanks" wouldn't be able, only give thanks.

It'll be abused, just like vouches are now.

 

It's just like a reputation system.

Usually on forums they have staff who monitor the reputation given to users regulary.

Honestly I don't think its a good idea man.. Like a few other said, many will do the fake 'thanks' .. =( Soz..

 

It's a good idea, but it'd be abused knowing this forum is raging with a bunch of ten year olds.

 

This would be way to easily abused, good in thought but too many people would just throw around thanks.

There was something sort of similar to this when I first joined. It was a commenting system. You could post easily comments on somebodys profile and you could easily access them.

But this idea has already been suggested many times and shot down every time. Because of the whole thing "you suck my dick i'll suck your dick" thing.

Or basically what the guy posted above me.

 

It's done by a lot of forums, it gets abused alot!
