    Sleep Paralysis

Does anyone else get it? I have chronic Sleep Paralysis, and let me tell you it sucks ass.

I guess its considered a disease, I wouldn't really consider it a disease but on Monday night I got it 5 times before I actually feel asleep for good.

If you don't know what it is here is some background from Wiki:

"Physiologically, sleep paralysis is closely related to the paralysis that occurs as a natural part of REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, which is known as REM atonia. Sleep paralysis occurs when the brain awakes from a REM state, but the body paralysis persists. This leaves the person fully conscious, but unable to move. The paralysis can last from several seconds to several minutes "after which the individual may experience panic symptoms and the realization that the distorted perceptions were false."

It fucking sucks, mine usually happens as I am falling asleep or during a dream. I can always tell when its coming too because I get this small buzzing and then I wake up and I can't move and I feel like there is a presence in my doorway. However, I have gotten it so much that I can wake myself up from it. I don't know how but I have to fight with myself to move something and I finally do and I wake up.

I just want to know if anyone else gets it, because I have it horribly.

Never happened to me...unless you count feeling so dead in the morning you can barely lift yourself out of bed.

I am sympathetic and envious at the same time. At least you can get SP easily. that's a good way to enter a lucid dream via WILD. I get it usually once a month (naturally), my longest one was about 30-45 minutes where I suffered hallucinations (hearing voices and an old lady at the foot of my bed)

Yeah I get it every few months, and from that, I've learned to wake up from such dreams.

OMG THIS IS WHAT I HAVE!?

Okay listen! certain nights I will have this pulsating type thing but its not my heart its within my head and it gets faster every time! so it happens to me alot and it gets faster every second and every time it happens I let it go on for longer, but should I risk that?

Everyone get's that presence feeling, I don't get it but I've studied it and that's a normal symptom. That's why some people think they are being abducted because they cannot move and they feel a presence and some people see things.

Had it a few times, it's scary as fuck, mostly because (it feels like) you can't breathe.

Wow I am glad I am not the only person that gets it along :D

Anyways, that has happened to me, sometimes I try to risk how long I can stay in the pulsating sound but then I always wake up and have the paralysis anyways.

It sucks, including when you are having a peaceful dream.
