Driving high is nothing. If you get pulled over, your high get get blowed and it's gone. You can lose it meaning it's all a mind thing. Drinking is actually a full body thing. That's why you can't feel much pain when drunk because it's a depressant and it relaxes the nerves.

With regards to the price decreasing - it would be cheaper than weed in the Netherlands (which by our standards is a steal)... because it would be legalized instead of decriminalized, so it would be legal to produce and supply.

    Legalize Marijuana?

When you're high, your mind doesn't stay in one place very long.
He could be driving fine now, but what about in 5 minutes when his mind shifts, all due to the drugs?

Those are chances many societies can't think about after the fact. There is no point in thinking about what might happen if it already happened.

"Take the bullet out of the gun before it's shot. Not after."

You're right, and to Dropkick Murphys, I can act normal when I'm high but in my mind everything is going crazy, I'm dizzy enough to believe I'm rocking back and forth when I'm really not and I feel like I'm in a dream, so yes it's possible to act normal but it doesn't mean you can drive a car. The thing is that driving high is more mild than drunk. Also, when you're high you can actually make decisions, rather than when you're drunk you can't. For example, when I'm high enough that everything is rocking back and forth and I'm in a dream, I had a decision to ride my bike home, but I decided to wait it out because I KNEW I was impaired and could not function it. If you're freaking stoned out of your mind then actually getting in a car is almost impossible because when you're stoned you can barely move in a straight line, making you unable to actually get to your car.

Marijuana is not a gateway drug. Alcohol is.

    Legalize Marijuana?

    The facts are:

Marijuana kills cancer cells, while leaving human cells in tact. It should be legalized for medicinal purposes. (http://www.safeaccessnow.org/article.php?id=748)

It is also is not addictive or harmful as alcohol, tobacco, and prescription pain killers.

i dont do weed but i think it should be legalized...a)its natural even if its grown with hydroponics and
b)if they made illigal a natural product, how come they havnt made nut meg illigel..ground up 2 tablespoons of it and have it with milk or anything else i think(do net search for "ground nutmeg effects" to get better detail)
because the effects are nearly the same after a extended period of 5 hours

Legalizing Canabis would have many benefits, I think a strong point to make is that drugs were legalised we could make sure that the injections used are clean and safe which can reduce the number of HIV and Hepatitas C cases each year

nutmeg is a deleriant you idiot that means you will look in the mirror and freak out because you don't know who the hell you are looking at.

Weed highs are totally different, for one they are actually pleasant, and since most people can't use it responsibly it was sadly made illegal.

Marijuana is legal in some states for medicinal purposes. Know what you're talking about.

    Legalize Marijuana?

Pot is seen as a "gateway drug" (meaning, it's not that bad it's self, but it puts you in contact with dealers, who push you onto harder stuff.), or thats what my biology teacher + textbook said.

So, the problems it causes would be cut dramatically if it was legalised..

People aren't responsible enough to have weed legalized. It's a no and it's probably always going to be.

    Legalize Marijuana?

It's funny, I know how I would answer this a few months ago. I remember that I actually debated against Shredderbeam about it. I argued that legalizing marijuana would induce more crime, or something to that effect. Then Shredderbeam did what he did best, but AHA! I had the perfect counter-argument! "What about Cocaine, Shredderbeam!? Do you want to allow people to use that kind of drug??". I was amazed when Shredder said that if he had his way, it too would be legalized. My views have changed drastically over that period, and Shredder got what he was looking for with his posts. He changed the way a person thinks.

Before, my way of thinking was not unlike alot of these posters. I thought that people had to be regulated for their own good. I thought that restrictions had to be in place in order to stop chaos. I now acknowledge a person's natural rights, and with that, is the right to do anything with his/her own body that he/she so wishes. A person's natural rights outranks every "what if" question there is.

I do believe that it should be legalized. This subject is a little bit tame though. I can see the thread now if the subject wasn't "Legalize Marijuana", but "Legalization of all Drugs?". I know the general consensus lean towards a 'no!111shift1one1'.
