reveal mod logs.

i would like to see these, i think it would be a great way for the community to see how active a mod is in a certain aspect of there job.

 

I see no reason to keep them hidden.

 

Display them, would be nice to have a look.

should there be a rank cut of, such as addicts+ can see them or are they suitable to be viewed by everyone?

Mod logs aren't the best indication of activity. They are easily inflated - Tengauge had several thousand logs after only a few days, because he thought he was supposed to archive threads, and was doing them en masse. They are also a very raw number; you can't really compare mods' activity simply by the number of threads they lock. As mentioned in the other thread, bans, working with members over MSN to sort out issues, the input they give in Staff Discussion, etc, are also a reflection of their activity and dedication; the raw number short-changes the activity of many of the staff, and probably overplays the activity of others.

It's not that I'm against posting them, but I also see no reason to.

 

I guess it would be fine for them to be shown? And the mods seem to agree.

Agreed.... I really do not care if they are revealed.

 

I've got nothing to hide, I'm okay with them being revealed.

 

Regular member do not make the staff decisions anyways. We can scream, "dem0te teh mod1!1!!" all we want, but ultimately there will not be consequences.

Release the logs, please.

 

good point, surely though if we implement a rank boundry all addicts/guru's up have some comon sense and knowledge of the forums. and as [n]ick said we have no power or say in much :S

People will start judging moderators by the number of logs they've got.

I agree iwas tihnking about posting this and i saw this... People wouldnt look on the real aspects more who psot more.
