cracking down on rsbot?

Wouldn't it be more disheartening for botters if their accounts were banned within hours of using the bot? I think the smarter thing for them to do is ban the account right away.

 

Yup I've botted 147K ess so far on my main and I'm not banned.

Stupid botting will get you banned. Just use common sense when botting

I'm currently testing out RSBot with Deviant Woodcutter and Ruski's Fighter.

Going for 99 Woodcutting, 40 Defense, 43 Prayer, 70 Range.

As for Jagex detecting it, they probably can find out very easily. Jagex could create a script to automatically ban or reject connections from the RSBot client if they wanted to. (Since people can do just that on private servers if you haven't noticed) I would recommend monitoring the bot, talking to some friends, talking when you get bored, and doing some random events. You could run it 24/7 since it naturally will "crash" once in a while, which could be similar to sleeping. Mine usually crashes overnight (not really crash, just stopping because of an error) and I run it whenever I wake up again. I check it every few hours and try to use two different scripts. So I'll do woodcutting for a little bit, then combat, and such. That way it's more realistic.

 

Lol? That's wrong, I've been banned tons of times in p2p for macroing, and the accounts had no offences, jagex never accept botting appeals anymore anyway.

 

Well I got few blackmarks for macroing (not a ban)
I appealed twice, and it was accepted
THEN it just got denied....

I think Jagex have me on like a list of ppl who might be botting (cuz RSBOT connects to RS directly)
I am always at the PC when I bot (msn, homework, watching movie..) so I can't ever get reported or w/e which I think it pissing em off lol

umm members get perm ban now. there is no 10 day for botting. and they dont accept appeals so if u get caught botting on any account u are perm banned unless the offence expires or what not.

 

I've yet to be banned. I agree with everyone else, it's mostly the script you use and the amount of time you bot.

Try to not Suicide Bot or use low level bots. Get some combat levels up to avoid noobs from reporting you. They don't think that higher levels are capable of botting and it's only level 3's. Naive.

I try to avoid botting though. I used to be hardcore into it, but I like to play for myself now. Not too bad.

 

im at 98 wcing ive botted 15 lvls and not been caught teehee

oh and i use break handler and i talk in clan chats so i think it helps
