Should I Get A Cannon?

Hey guys, I'm currently training range on my pure with knives at rock crabs. It's got 50 range atm and I want 70. I have 4.9m cash and about 6m in items, and I was just wondering.. Is it worth getting a cannon? What do you guys think? How much quicker would I level? Is it too expensive? I want your advice please, thanks ^_^.

I'm now thinking of getting a cannon just for 50-60 range, what do you guys think? How many cannonballs would i need for 50-60?

 

Personally, i'd stick with the knives - but thats just because i'm a cheap bugger. But Cannon would speed up the ranging process, not by an amazing amount, because although you are killing Rock crabs really fast, you'll only get 100 exp per Crab. If you dont care about losing quiet a bit of money, go for it.

What i would do :
Get better Knives,(if Your using Bronze or Iron, get steel or perhaps black if you can) Because if money's not the problem then why bother using rubbish knives, If you can go to experiments rather than rock crabs, if not, just do what your doing but with better knives. Then invest your money into something else, Mage Perphaps??

Both Cannon and Knives are amazing methods, you just have to way up what you want most, to loose maybe 5-6 hours of time (because it really doesnt speed it up much i think) and loose a couple of mill whilst your at it, or save some of that cash, and use it to train another skill or get better items

 

Well, I've already got a robin+ a fury, and like 2k nats for alching ruby rings in zanaris (my mage is 60), so I don't think losing a few mill is a problem, I'm 59 mining aswell, so when I get too low on cash I'll just mine another few mill =/.

 

well thers your answer, get the cannon.
I dnt no if this is possible or not but ill give you it anyway, if u can go to neiznot (or how ever you spell it, i dnt no if u need defence to get there) there is a place where you can cannon ice trolls, put your pray on, get some alchs and collect the items you break even and sometimes even earn

From my experience... cannon is pretty much waste.

I've used it at 70 range on daggs and the XP I gained while training was horrible.

 

cannon isn't great for exp. I only used it when the area got too crowded to make people bugger off.

 

it cost alot just to tell you aint great xp eathier.

 

Just bot your range, seriously. Don't waste your time, make it bot, knives or arrows, w/e.

 

Don't buy cannon, you only get 2xp per hit and it costs waaaaaaaay too much

Yeah get it.
The xp isn't fantastic but it's still more xp then without.

Cannons don't give any hp exp either...

Soo... It's not that great to use on a pure if you're wating the hp levels. If you're not, then go for it, if you've got the cash.. But, meh, there's good and bad points about them. xD

 

dnt Bother donig it 50-60 either... just rock crabs knives, then knives ogres or even expirements, thats what i did

 

cannons are a great way to train but you lose out on some hp lvls and it is pretty costly but other than that it is amazing xp =), especially if you just run around waking up crabs.

 

If you really don't care about loosing money, buy red chins and use them in the cave you are inside in Monkey Madness.

 

I really think its a waste of money but honestly if you dont care.. why not? moneys pretty easy to make in rs so you might as well if your lazy like i am.

 

coz of the balls, cannon would cost loads
