Best thing to alch

I have 2.6m and i want to lose nothing or possible gain,

whats the best thing to high alc?

 

I used to alch magic longbows or magic shortbows, but it's been so long since i've played i'm not sure if that's cheap anymore. If you don't want to lose a penny, make your own things (like d hide bodies and chaps) and alch them. It takes longer to make your own things though, so I'd just go with mage shorts or mage longs ^_^.

 

You lose 125 with magic longs, so not terrible but pretty expensive.


Try ruby rings in zanaris.

 

It's not really possible to "Gain" UNLESS you make everything yourself. if not that, you will always loose.

When I was alching I alched yew longs, still good?

 

Yew Logs - 400-450GP?
Flax - 80GP?
Pure Essence - 140-150GP?

Added together: 680GP or so.

Yew Longs alch for around that.

 

Did some more research about mentioned items.

Magic longbow: 1438 + 229 - 1536 = 131gp loss.
Magic shortbow: 992 + 229 - 960 = 261gp loss.
Yew longbow: 676 + 229 - 768 = 137gp loss.
Flax: 93 + 229 - 3 = 319gp loss.
Pure essence: 111 + 229 - 2 = 338gp loss.
Ruby ring: 1527 + 229 - 1215 = 541gp loss.
Ruby ring bought from spec store: 1012 + 229 - 1215 = 26gp loss.

So, ruby ring bought from special store is deffently the best.

 

Sindre, I meant the items I mentioned are the products to make / alch your own Yew Longbows, and it's showing it can result in a profit.

 

If you make your own Yew Longs to alch keep in mind it will take awhile,
but it's still a gain! Ruby rings from Zarnas or whatever work well. I did Terrorbird pouches from 60-82 on my pure for 5.6M.

 

Okay, sorry. But you could make profit from alching self-made yew longbows from buying nature runes too.
