    Yea, let's be hypocrites.

Blame the boy for not getting vaccinated and martyr the girl for dying.

Nobody answered me. If the other child has the vaccination, then how did she die?

    Guilty or innocent?

I don't think she would be guilty for the death of the girl. More or less she would probably get trialed with some bogus "Accomplice" charge.

Ultimately, it was her choices that led to the childs death, but I guess we could compare that to me telling you to kill him. I didn't kill him, so I don't get a murder charge, but it was my choice that led to his death, so I'm still in the wrong.

In the wrong. Not guilty. -.-

    EDIT:

    Guilty or innocent?

The mother, by refusing to vaccinate her child, and then going out in public with him, is guilty as charged. By refusing to vaccinate her child, or quarantine him, she consented to committing murder indirectly. She was the instrument that instigated the girl's death, and therefore, she is guilty of murder.

I think the mother should be fined, although she should have warned people about her son.
I think she is a total dumbass, religion is such a pointless concept.

Seems like half this thread would want to be sued or prosecuted for spreading the flu, seeing as the flu causes more fatalities than measles + most other diseases combined.

    Guilty or innocent?

You can deny medical care on grounds of conflict with religion. You don't even have to state what religion it is.

    Therefore, she is not guilty.

You can still contract a disease if you have been vaccinated for it.. For example, if your immune system has been weakened/compromised by another disease.

    She was not vaccinated. /endstory

If she had a weakened immune system, she had a reasonable cause of death: "Being in a public place where one might contract diseases".

Then what would be the point of getting a vaccine? A vaccine stops you from getting the disease, or else more people would have small pox than they currently do right now, correct?

Why should the mother be punished when the other child's parent was also too idiotic to get the deceased child vaccinated?
