ashamed of playing runescape?

Do you feel ashamed if anyone at school/work found out you played runescape? Would you feel ashamed If your girlfriend (if you had one) found out you had 4 billion posts on some runescape cheating site? Would you feel pathetic if people found out you forked out real money to have more pixels in an online game, instead of going out on a weekend?

Just to let you know, I quit runescape 4 years ago.

My piont to raising this thread is because so many people get sooo worked up and defensive when you talk about runescape and how lame it is to play/pay real money on like its the end of the world.

Im sure alot of you play runescape/come here in a way to escape reality. Its unhealthy to do so. You will find yourself going out less, spend your time obsessing about getting an uber leet account instead of the real world.

Im not saying everyone is like this, im not making fun of those who are, just wanted to let you know there is much more exciting world with more "quests" and rewards for playing, all you have to do is leave your front door and your in it.

So, If you want to flame me and say whatever, Think why it is you are saying it. Did I hit a soft spot? do you cry at night because you have never kissed a girl? what ever the reason, think about it, and fix it.

 

Well yes i gotta say when people bring it up i kinda cringe lol. But i like the game and its not like it drastically affects my life, so i continue playing

 

I agree, kids should be out enjoying life rather than just sitting on a computer. All of my friends quit rs a while ago, but I stuck with it. I don't play all that much anymore, just go on when I'm bored to merchant/slay

I don't believe you have the right to be telling people that they should be going out instead of playing RuneScape. Many people make alterations between RS and going out in a way in which it doesn't affect them.

 

I understand where your coming from; Those who play it TOO much and begin to turn RuneScape into their entire life. Doing nothing but striving to be the "best" pker. Just bot your stats/cash, then PK, then quit.

yes i can understand wat your saying, i wouldnt like if anyone found out i play, but then again its a game, im sure there is more people playing, most people wouldnt confess unless they are like 10 or 12. mostly wat i do is not go on too much and fit my forum time into whenever im doing a boring task on rs like training or botting (not usually, i go do other things while botting). so yeh, and tbh i never bought an acc here or bought gp'z so i dont rly spend much cash on rs lol.

 

There's several people at my school that play. Everyone knows that we play, no one really cares.

 

No, not really I mean im not going to go up to them and say "I PLAY RUNESCAPE". But if they found out no one would really care. I mean really would someone make fun of you over a video game? If they do most of the time they also play a video game...

I don't work in real life to buy pixels... I would sell accounts/pins or any other way to make money if I really wanted something.

Honestly, about this time last year I was addicted to Runescape. I mean, I never was the kid that sat alone in school, didn't do sports, never hung out with friends.

I still had friends, I played sports, I hung out with people, but I found myself on Runescape far too often. Instead of going outside in the summer, I would be inside trying to get that next strength level, I never thought it was a problem then, but now I am a bit embarrassed by it.

I quit Runescape about two months ago, haven't logged in at all for about a month. The last time I logged in, I tried to go do some slayer but it bored the hell out of me. I finally realized my favorite activities in Runescape were just chores.

 

People at my School personally don't care. When it comes to CSS they care.

 

Aha i really not ashmed of it its really not gay mabye people think it is bcos other ppl said it is but no im not , i dont play 24.7 . Aslong as i do other things to im not ashmed of it. and LOL if u havent kissed a girl that hilarious.

None of the people that play Rs are "Nerds". We all have lives/Girlfriends or Boyfriends.
I am one of the most popular kids in my school I play Rs.

 

Alot of people at my school knows that I play runescape and none of them care, so Why would I be ashamed of playing runescape?

 

Not ashamed, but prefer not to tell people. My gf would probably be like ... "WTF".

Im not ashamed I dont care if people know or not. No one knows anyways. But even if they did who cares..:huh:
