Need help on laptop

Hey I was wondering what would be the best laptop to get if I was just using it for say homework, typing up stuff, msn just viewing sites, How much would a laptop like that cost?

 

About 800 I would think.

 

Well I have an Advent 7090, it's only got 512mb RAM, 60GB HD, but runs really well, I've had it for 4 years now and it's still running perfectly, I've had to reformat it a few times, so you should buy an external harddrive if you don't want to lose work etc. I guess I overran it and that's what caused the data loss. It cost me £600 when it first came out 4 years ago, it's cool cause the design is plain, good keyboard, nice good size screen.

i have an hewlett packard pavilion entertainment pc, it has a duel processor and is very fast, it has a 15 inch(ish) screen and is SUPER FAST it has i think 6 gigabytes of ram and it has a 7 hour batterlife, with antivirus and microsoft office it is about 850 dollars
