    Decisive's demotion?

So.. he's not getting mod again because he was hacked? And nothing was scammed?

    Recent security measures

Megamatt was hacked and something got scammed (it was paid back, of course)
Giddy was hacked and nothing was scammed
Daily asked to be demoted for his weekend away for safety reasons

    etc etc

Let's be fair here, he had mod for one day and nothing went astray.

    Decisive's demotion?

I agree, as long as he agrees to take more security measures as MegaMatt did...No harm No foul

    Decisive's demotion?

I agree, Decisive was koo anyway. He should get his mod back. Just like Tenguage if i'm sure on why he got banned/demoted. I think they're just slimming down on mods.

And seriously, how do you kids get hacked? Don't keep your email private, use virus wear, keep emails separate, and don't talk to anyone that you don't know on MSN.

I don't see Sythe getting hacked. Or, it could be an inside job and someone is changing the passwords.

He was hacked a day after he became mod.. Wow. I don't think he should be mod just for that. (Plus I've never even heard of him)

meh, it happened to me too, although i didn't get re-promoted until months later
it wouldn't be right for me to disapprove him getting mod back because i know how it feels, he seems to have good potential and i wouldn't mind seeing him back on the staff.

Tengauge was banned for guide ripping and leaking to draggin pure.

Yeah, it's not the first time someone has been hacked after getting staff, but that's not the point. He came on, saw a post that wasn't familiar to him and took a security measure to avoid a big problem later. A lot of staff have done this, and he just got it. I wouldn't care if something was scammed or anything but it's pretty fucked up when 3 mods have had similar experiences and they got their staff positions back.

Sorry I meant here and now he shouldn't get moderator status back. Maybe after some time when his account is secure I would approve of it but that's just my opinion, which doesn't matter anyway.

It's his fault 100%. How you fail to see it, I don't understand.

    Decisive's demotion?

Firstly miss, I'm not going to single out mods because it can affect their status and looks to people in the future but:

Mod #1 was hacked, the hacker scammed a good amount of money and he was modded.
Mod #2 was hacked, money possibly scammed and he was reinstated.

One of those mods happened to be one of your favorites. The point isn't being hacked, he was, but he fixed the problem immediately and nothing was lost. If he can prove that his computer is safe, and by the current looks of things, he should get staff. MegaMatt was given time because his first day he was hacked the hacker scammed a good amount of money. It was all returned in full amount but still, that was his delay reason. Decisive's hacker scammed $0 that is known.

Actually, for the record, the reason I was unbanned is because of insufficient proof of a scam. The "victim" couldn't get his story straight, so no, nothing was repaid.

    Decisive's demotion?

I don't really have a particular stance on Decisive, but I can see the argument for why he shouldn't be re-modded. Getting hacked a few months into modship is one thing; getting hacked the day after is a problem. The staff does its best to keep out corruption and to limit these staff hackings; Decisive has not yet earned trust with his position, and it should make the staff uneasy for problems to be arising so soon.

However, as I understand, he caught and reported the problem himself. If it came to a vote, I would probably be for giving him another chance.

Or not. Draggin accused Tengauge of leaking while Giddy was hacked by Draggin's IRL friend Itsallaboutfriends. If Draggin was leaked to, I doubt he would have needed Tengauge.

That's not our objective at all; we wouldn't have promoted Decisive in the first place if we wanted less mods.

There's really a lot of ways to be "hacked" and the bigger you are on the website the bigger target you become. A lot of people get hacked on Sythe, a lot. Mods are just more noticeable.

Tengauge was given approval to use the guide however he liked. And guide ripping, should have only resulted in a forum ban.

Also, Draggin's information was fake. He also blocked tengauge after he confronted him with the fake picture he provided.

It has been confirmed by the author of the guide that he did not have permission to repost it.

Also, Draggin's info was not fake, he read out the SL threads to a staff member and they were correct.

As long as Decisive explains the security changes he's made/why the breech occurred, of course he should get another chance.
