Does Jagex Care About Botting For Personal Gains?

On paper, Jagex has to treat all botting offenses the same; but do you think Jagex cares if people automate tedious tasks? I mean, they must understand that the grind can be ridiculous. I'd like to know your thoughts.

I think they dont care they will ban but im botting in my ironman half the time and never had a problem.

 

Yea I doubt they care.. like any game. example wow people that bot just for personal gains in like pvp get banned just as much as people botting for gold. I think in some way the bots are ok because if there weren't bots in osrs then buying items in GE would be so limited. I guess to them botting ruins everyone's gameplay and they probably think what is the point in playing a game when you're just going to bot and not play it.. I honestly don't care if people bot

 

From my experience yes they do care of course they tend to focus on the large-scale bot farms more but if you are flagged by the bot detection system and are a f2p player expect a straight ban hammer if you are using a p2p account and its the first offence recorded on that ip address expect a warning atleast

 

That is false. They are random and unpredictable in their bans, even if you're p2p.

Bottom line, do not bot on any account you care about/cant afford to lose.

 

They do care. There is a high risk you will be banned when you are botting.

 

Bots are just like the Chinese. Giving us cheap products. Without them grapes, ore, runes etc would not be as cheap as they are!

But yes, Jamflex ban you for botting of course. Just record your clicks doing a task for 2 hours and then use that. Ghost mouse or something like that. 0% ban rate unless it messes up.

 

any botting activity is considered risky, and carrys a risk of ban , ofcourse you know this

further, if jagex didnt care about botting for personal use then there wouldn't be a risk of bans in multiple skills/minigames of the game.. for example nmz

that being said there are activities that carry a lower risk of ban.. fletching/woodcutting/mining
compared to the high risk botting of agility/runecrafting

 

Yeah I botted on an IM barb fishing for the fun to see how far I could get ended up banned at 74 fishing. Normal botting 4-6 hours a day. They don’t care a bot is a bot. Never do it on an account you care about.

Yeah Jagex doesn't care why you botted. I had a valuable account over 1500 total with 8 99's and infernal cape permanently banned for botting the quest Nature Spirit LMAO.

That was a big ass mistake on my part. Only time I ever botted it too. Was converting it from a pure to a zerker.

 

The grind is intended to be ridiculous and take years. Otherwise, everyone would be maxed and that defeats the purpose.
